Carter joined Emory to further pursue his passion for organic chemistry and joined the Wuest lab in the fall of 2025. His research focus currently revolves around the total synthesis of antifungal natural products that target agriculturally relevant pathogenic fungi, such as Fusarium graminearum and Phytophthora infestans. Outside of the lab, Carter enjoys going to the gym, gaming, building Legos, and grabbing a brew with the boys.
