Camden Di Carlo

Camden is a first-year graduate student in the Wuest Lab. Growing up in Brewster, New York with his five younger siblings, he decided to stay closer to home by attending Colgate University, where he earned a BA in biochemistry. While at Colgate, Camden gained research experience across the spectrum of biochemistry and organic synthesis, but primarily worked toward the synthesis of a Tn antigen analog under the guidance of Dr. Ernest Nolen. After graduating from Colgate in May 2024, he decided to move to Georgia to pursue a PhD in organic chemistry at Emory University. In the Wuest Lab, Camden is currently working toward the synthesis of antimicrobial natural products. Outside of lab, he enjoys talking with friends and family, playing basketball, and volunteering at his local church.
